Chocolate Chip Brownies
Brownies were the dessert that started my cooking "career". I was around the age of 12 when I first baked my first batch and it was a total fail. I didn't melt my butter. I thought when the recipe called for 1 1/2 Cups of flour that it meant one 1/2 cup., I only used 1/2 of the flour. However, with a little trial and error and a lot of practice. I have turned these brownies into one of my favorite things to bake.
When I was younger my mama would ask me to bake them (years later I realized she was asking so she didn't have to make a dessert). But she did actually like them.
